Burlington is Vermont’s largest city hosting 45,000 year-round residents and a daytime metro population of over 100,000 people.  It is frequently rated as one of America’s most livable cities.  The downtown area is centered around the Church Street Marketplace, an outdoor marketplace with shopping, restaurants, festivals, and entertainers.  One block from Church Street is City Hall Park where a weekly outdoor farmers’ market takes place offering live music, local produce, and arts and crafts.  The City sits along Lake Champlain where Waterfront Park hosts outdoor sports, concerts, and festivals.  The waterfront bike path extends the length of the city offering views of the lake and linking city parks.  Public City parks offer beach access, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball diamonds, and an ice rink. There is never a shortage of fun winter activities in Burlington with popular ski resorts, cross-country trails and ice climbing all a short drive from the city.
